About the Journal

The JBHM is a dynamic academic journal that publishes research on a wide range of business and management topics, including strategic management, marketing, human resources, entrepreneurship, finance, international business, organizational behavior, and more. The journal serves as a platform for groundbreaking academic research, emerging business trends, and practical applications that contribute to the development of both the theory and practice of business management.

With biannual issues released in April and October, JBHM follows a continuous publishing model, which allows articles to be made available to the public as soon as they are ready for publication. The journal’s editorial team and peer reviewers play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality, relevance, and integrity of the research we publish. As we continue to expand and establish JBHM as a leading publication in the field of business and management, we seek qualified, engaged, and professional reviewers who are committed to upholding the journal’s reputation for academic excellence.

  • An MSc, MA, BBA, MBA or equivalent advanced degree in business, management, economics, or a related field. A PhD is a plus for the ideal candidate.
  • A strong academic record with publications in peer-reviewed journals, particularly in business and management disciplines. Your research experience should align with the scope of the journal.
  • Expertise in one or more specialized areas of business and management, such as marketing, human resources, entrepreneurship, organizational behavior, finance, international business, strategic management, or innovation.
  • While prior experience as a reviewer is highly desirable, it is not mandatory. We encourage emerging scholars with a solid academic background to apply.
  • Reviewers must have a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of academic integrity, ethical publishing practices, and confidentiality.
  • Reviewers should be able to dedicate a reasonable amount of time to reviewing manuscripts (approximately 2-3 reviews per year). The exact number may vary based on the journal’s submission volume.

Roles and responsibilities

  • Provide detailed, actionable feedback to authors, including recommendations for improving the clarity, structure, methodology, and overall quality of the manuscript. This feedback should be thorough, constructive, and delivered within the timeline.
  • Maintain the confidentiality of the review process. Reviewers should not disclose the manuscript’s contents, findings, or any related discussions to others.
  • Reviewers are expected to complete their evaluations within a reasonable time frame (typically 2-3 weeks). Timeliness is essential to the journal’s ability to maintain its biannual publishing schedule and continuous publication model.
  • Ensure that submitted research complies with ethical standards. This includes verifying proper citation of sources, adherence to research ethics, and ensuring no conflicts of interest.
